She’s more than a boat. She’s a legacy, a lifeline, and a love letter to the Chesapeake Bay.

Slowly But Shirley M. is a living story—a boat hand-built in 1959 by my grandfather, Pop, in his backyard in Annapolis, and now, lovingly restored to cruise again. What began as one man’s dream has become a family’s anchor and a project rooted in preserving craft, memory, and the magic of moving slowly. This isn’t just about where we’ve been. It’s an invitation to where we’re going—to carry forward the legacy, write new chapters, and let the Bay shape us all over again.  Join us on this journey!
